The Association's mission is to:

Promote blood donation.
Share the underlying principles and values of safe blood transfusion: volunteer, anonymous, unpaid blood donation.
Support donor recruitment, in conjunction with Héma-Québec.
Provide a forum to adress topics of interest to volunteers.
Act as liaison between the regions and Héma-Québec.
Ensure the recruitment of new donors and retention of current donors

The ABDV is the link between the regions and Héma-Québec. It has a presence throughout Québec with its 12 regional chapters and holds a seat on the Héma-Québec of Directors.

The Assiociation aspires to become a leader in blod donation volunteer work by fostering research and development in transfusion medicine as well as promotion and recruitment.
